About Dr. Larry Charleston IV, MD, MSc, FAHS, FANA, FAAN

Dr. Charleston has spoken to numerous and varied national and international audiences, ranging from neurology to professional development, business, community seminars, and burgeoning youth organizations. Renowned for his engaging approach to education and entertainment, he now offers unique Dr. Charleston Keynote Concerts, combining his speaking engagements with original live music.

As a board-certified neurologist and headache specialist, Dr. Charleston serves as a Professor of Neurology. With decades of experience in providing world-class clinical care, he has made significant contributions to the field, including over 170 presentations, 55 peer-reviewed publications, 55 abstracts, 50 educational materials for patients and providers, and writing textbook chapters. His excellence has been recognized through various lectureship awards from the American Neurological Association and the American Headache Society.

In the music industry, he is known as an award-winning songwriter under the name "Neu’Raye Pearl". He has received multiple accolades from the Nashville Songwriters International Association Evaluations and Recognition System as a "One to Watch". His songs have won awards across different genres, including the Song of the Year in both Song & Lyric Writing and at the Mid-Atlantic Song Competition. Additionally, he was a finalist in the Michigan "w4CountryIdol" competition and has written and licensed songs for schools. Dr. Charleston's music has been featured by non-profit organizations and he has maintained a position in the Top 5 on ReverbNation charts in Michigan for 49 consecutive weeks.

He has had the privilege to share the stage with notable figures like Derek Jeter for his Turn 2 Foundation and Kristen Chenoweth.

Dr. Charleston is the founder of Charleston Health Neurology & Head Pain Consultants and the Co-founder and CEO of Charleston International in partnership with the Amway Corporation and Leadership Team Development. He has served on the boards of various national organizations and has facilitated professional development workshops. Furthermore, Dr. Charleston has gained experience as a legislative fellow in the United States Congress in Washington, DC. A scholar-athlete, he was even pro-rated in the NFL pro-scout combine during his senior year of undergraduate college.
